Thai-Style Fresh Herb Dressing

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic, pressed to a paste
  • 1 hot chili (Thai, jalapeno, etc.), seeded and minced
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tahini (sesame seed paste), peanut butter, or cashew butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped mint
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons Thai basil



Serves 4-6

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Toss as much dressing as you like with shredded greens, cabbage, steamed veggies, or a lettuce-based salad. This dressing came from a mixed cabbage salad recipe. Serve immediately or chill for a ½ hour.
